Azhar

2018

Azhar is a seat defined by forms that are at once organic and rigorous. With this tub chair we sought to challenge the relationship between the shell, soft and rounded in appearance, inspired by a soap bubble at the moment when the iridescent membrane swells over the ring under the effect of breath, and the bases that receive it, intentionally expressed in at times dissonant languages: a rigorous wooden trestle, an unconventional crossed cantilever, a light structure in slender steel wire. The only exception is the tulip base in cast aluminum.

Azhar was developed as a natural complement to the Atatlas table.

I find the stackable crossed X cantilever base particularly interesting
