Fenice was the first project I developed after returning to Italy from my experience in France. I was drawn to the idea of creating a handle that, when grasped, could convey a sense of softness, comfort and gentleness, while at the same time altering the rigid geometry of the axis and lever scheme that defines all objects of this kind.
The form is shaped to create a fluid and sculptural element that emerges from the rose and curves upward, forming a kind of wing. Thanks to the offset rotation axis, opening is also made easier when using an elbow or when hands are occupied.
