Wire is the generating element of the Penelope family: welded metal wire to create a highly solid lattice frame and synthetic Xiloplast wire woven to form the seat and backrest. Lightness and transparency are therefore the essential qualities immediately perceived. A work of subtraction and abstraction, emphasized by the apparent randomness of the weave in the strip version.
