The Belvedere project explores the limits of a double level of reflection: that of one’s own physical image, returned in a raw and honest way by the mirror, and that of a kind of spiritual, mental or emotional image, evoked by the frame that can be filled with books that feel part of oneself, souvenirs from travels, CDs of beloved music, objects from one’s youth.
To look at oneself and at the same time perceive one’s image surrounded by non physical parts of who we are, this is the spirit of Belvedere.
